My First Birth Photography Experience.
Sterre and Peter were the first couple I had the honor of photographing during the birth of their second child. The atmosphere was a beautiful mix of excitement, calm, and control. The birth took place in the comfort of their home, surrounded by warmth and familiarity, with the support of two wonderful midwives.
As I documented their journey, I was struck by the profound connection between Sterre and Peter. Every moment was filled with anticipation and love, from the gentle encouragement of the midwives to the quiet strength of Peter by Sterre's side. The serene environment of their home added a unique intimacy to the experience, making every shot feel deeply personal and significant.
This experience was not just about capturing the arrival of a new life but also about witnessing the raw, beautiful emotions that accompany such a momentous event. It was a lovely birth that completely sealed my fate. From that moment on, I knew that documenting the profound moments of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
